The Webscan 4D Multicam System is the one stop solution to continuous monitoring of web registration.

The 4D Multicam allows the operator to view registration marks on the left, right, front and rear of the web simultaneously.

The register marks can be viewed in four Camera mode as illustrated in the diagram opposite or in single Camera mode, combined with a simple and user friendly control panel gives the operator the ability to easily locate register marks and ensure that register is maintained to the highest degree of accuracy.

Four cameras mounted on motorised bars traverse the web, nylon bearings allow the bars to operate in the harshest of environments.

Bars can be tailored to any length to accommodate all web widths.

Each camera housing comes complete with a high-resolution camera with 12x optical zoom and a high speed strobe unit allows monitoring of the web in excess of 1000m per min.

Images are displayed on a 19” monitor which can be stand alone or rack mounted. Register marks can be viewed in four camera mode or single camera mode as illustrated below.
The user control panel has been designed for simple and speedy set up. Function keys allow the operator to step up and down the repeat while traversing left and right.
Lens control keys can be used to achieve the optimum viewing area, these settings can also be stored in to memory to be recalled at the push of a button.
A high resolution encoder is used to lock the system to the press in order to position the cameras in to the required location and a sample function can also randomly monitor the web.
System expansion is available in the form of rear mounted strobe lighting and programmable motorised traverse bars.
As illustrated on the single register mark opposite by adding additional strobe lighting behind the web, the register mark on the reverse side becomes viewable from the front.
This allows the operator to view both sides of the web without the need for additional cameras. Traverse bars fi tted with stepper motors can be added to provide memory positions which will automatically position the cameras to preferred locations across the WEB.
